Oak Harbor, Ohio
The Village of Oak Harbor, with a population of 2,841 is located at the hub of the industrial Midwest. The Village lies on the north bank of the Portage River, in north central Ohio. It is 25 miles southeast of Toledo, 80 miles south of Detroit, MI, 120 miles north of Columbus, and 90 miles west of Cleveland. Access to Lake Erie, via the Portage River, is 10 miles due east from the village.
Like most small towns in northwest Ohio, much of the business and commerce of the area is related to agriculture. However, many small manufacturing, commercial, and businesses also call central Ottawa County home. Recreational opportunities also abound as the area enjoys a long Lake Erie shoreline, beaches, marinas, a state park and a wildlife refuge.
